Tonight is the night. April 15, 2011 and we have a good group coming to stay overnight at the Conway Public Library. Movies, gaming, and lots of good food for all. Any one interested in a game of Sardines? Bring your flashlight because you'll need it! At Midnight we will head up to the bell tower of the attic. See you tonight! Janis

Conway Public Library Young Adults on YouTube!

The Young Adults of the Conway Public Library have entered the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) Teen Video Challenge for 2011!

December Update
Hi all,
We are currently reading "Incarceron" by C. Fisher. Book #2 is due out the end of this month ("Sapphique'). "Incarceron" is a book that Tim picked and what a great book it is...a mixture of fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure all mixed together! And remember to watch for the eye. This book is an excellent read!
We have another Wii game. We now have Mario Kart thanks to grant monies from the NH Charitable Foundation. Last week 4 of us played and it was unanimous! We love this game and had a lot of laughs about this game....we hope you can join us for our next gaming day!
No meeting on Thursday Dec. 30th as the Ham Room is being renovated. See you next year!

Silk Painting Workshop on October 23rd-SIGN UP NOW!
Teens and tweens in Conway are encouraged to sign up for a silk painting workshop at the Conway Public Library on Saturday, October 23rd. Artist Jay Rancourt will teach us how to paint on silk. Each student will be given a silk scarf, materials and instructions on how to create a beautiful scarf for wearing or displaying on a wall. Additional scarves will cost $7. per scarf and students will have time to create a maximum of 3 scarves.

When: October 23rd, 10 am- 3 pm (All day so bring your lunch and snacks!)
Where: Conway Public Library - Ham Community Room
Who: Anyone in 6th grade or older BUT not an adult!
Why: Why not? This is a great workshop and you may have some nice gifts when done.

Join the summer reading program and if you meet your reading goal you can win a pass to Water Country! Sign up begins on June 23, 2010.
Summer is going to be great fun. All 6th grade and older students may join us!

March is looking great at Conway Public Library
Here are some of the upcoming Thursdays at the library.
Today we talked...alot about events and books and everything else too!
Next week is Teen Tech Week and we will be Wii-ing on Thursday, the 11th of March from 3:30-5:30. Its also gadget day! Bring your favorite tech thing today!
On Thursday, the 18th we will have chocolate day...an hour of luscious chocolate in a variety of forms. (Thanks to Bavarian Haus in North Conway for donating some of the goodies!)
The 25th of March will be movie day. Join us as we watch "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"
Refreshments are always served and talking is endles.....our current book is "Ophelia" by Lisa Klein........thanks to Jenn for putting together the activities for March!
